Welcome to
Founded in 1981, Greg Aanes Furniture is a maker of quality handcrafted wood furniture located in Bellingham, Washington specializing in seating. We have completed our shop expansion to allow a greater range of furniture designs. Current News Our new showroom is OPEN at 2109 Queen Street Mon-Fri 10-5pm and evenings and weekends by appointment. The old showroom on Champion Street is totally closed and and is the home to Western Solar, a provider and installer of both residential and commercial solar panels .

Complete Listing of Sale Items Sale items are pieces which are typically "rustic" grade ie. small or large tight knots, sapwood, dimensions not our usual size, or sometimes just a discontinued wood species. We do not discount our normal furniture.
What do these logos mean? They mean that for decades we have cared and taken action on our beliefs. Not because "Green" is in. Because it's the right thing to do and what the entire world needs.
Is our furniture "Green"? -We deal with small, often local sawmills, avoid long distance transport where possible -Use 100% renewable power sources -80% of our employees bike to work or use mass transit -Are pioneering the Bellingham Zero Waste for businesses campaign (and it works!) -Use an all electric car (not just a hybrid) and bikes for transportation in town -Transport our furniture with a high efficiency bio-diesel van -Remodeled an existing building for our new shop which only uses 60% of the electricity our old shop used (but is larger) -Produce smaller products and parts out of our wood off-cuts for an incredible materials efficiency - Some of our lumber is certified but our small mills and loggers are not able to meet the certification cost, yet they are the most responsible forest stewards. -We are a B Corporation "elect" (accepted but still in the legal modification stage). All this because it's been the right thing to do for the past 25 years.
