Greg Aanes Furniture: Dining Tables

48" Round Extension Table in Cherry, with Pacific Dining Chairs

Each made individually, our tables are designed to aesthetically compliment our dining chairs and match their craftsmanship and beauty. Customizable with different sizes, leg and edge styles, our tables can be made to fit any dining room. A finish composed of a two part urethane topcoat for beauty is impervious to any amount of hot or cold liquid, as well as being resistant to scratches and unaffected by common chemicals such as alcohol or cleansers. We do not stain our woods (unless requested), allowing their natural beauty and color  to shine through.

We use two styles of leaf aprons, please specify at time of order.

Our expanding tables are designed to make adding and removing leaves easy by using high-quality metal slides. Each leaf is 20" wide allowing a full place setting on each side. The full-metal extension slides are engineered to arch slightly upward to counter the natural sag of a table and provide a solid feel with no bounce. The table sections are locked together with small adjustable locks, and hardwood alignment pins will always fit perfectly.

42x60" Boat Top Table in Cherry (has 3 20" leaves).

Prices given are for Cherry. Add 4% for Eastern Maple, 6% for Walnut, or 20% for Figured Western Maple. For descriptions of these woods, please visit our woods page. All other woods will be quoted individually.

When sizing your table use the following guidelines:

For spacing purposes allow 20" x 12" for each person, (everyday use allow 22" width)

We use 20" wide leaves, 48" and longer tables accept three leaves

Allow 21" for each chair (if side chair, arm chairs require 25")

Our standard Table height is 30" from floor. As low as 28" will work but needs to be specified. "Bistro table" designs of any height will require we work together on the design details.

From the edge of the table to a wall or other obstruction allow a minimum of 36"

Options:

Our Pacific Style leg is standard. Mission style legs (square) and tapered legs are available if specified.

Stain requires an additional 10%.

Boat top or arced ends are standard. Tabletops may also be rectangular. Please specify when ordering. Custom shapes available at additional charge.

Dining tables are shipped assembled.

Cost of delivery outside Bellingham depends on distance and if someone can help unload at your house.

Apron size- large or small?

Typically we make standard large aprons which fit nicely between the aprons-

This results in a larger leaf/apron assembly which takes up more storage space.

We offer the option of smaller aprons which are easier to handle and store.

For some people the  the ease of handling and storage outweigh the visual discontinuity during the infrequent times the leaves are in use. There is no structural or longevity difference between the leaf styles.
